Turkey-based builder <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2013" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ares Shipyard (Company)">Ares Shipyard</a> has unveiled a new superyacht brand, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6519" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ares Custom Yachts (Company)">Ares Yachts</a>, at the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Event/182" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Monaco Yacht Show - 2023">Monaco Yacht Show 2023</a>. The yard currently has two yachts under construction, a 62-metre sailing yacht named Simena&nbsp;and a 50-metre motor yacht called Spitfire. &nbsp; <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/288109/image/large-f4c150988854494e4ba9b29d2b5375e0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/288109">Founded in 2006 by the Kalafatoğlu family, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2013" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ares Shipyard (Company)">Ares Shipyard</a> has a long tradition of shipbuilding and sailing. The shipyard has already delivered over 230 yachts to more than 15 countries to date and is now looking to expand further into luxury yachting.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/260005/image/large-06c931164e9e1c0e84d900f46787c45b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/260005">“We have already been recognised as being both Turkey’s fastest-growing company and its largest exporter of military and commercial vehicles. She boasts a carbon-epoxy superstructure, all-aluminium masts and rigging design imagined by Chris Mitchell. Powered by hybrid propulsion, Simena displays a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots. The model is still in the engineering phase and is set for delivery in late 2026. A formidable challenge: to encapsulate the grandeur of a larger vessel into a more compact design. J.D. Crawford, the distinguished broker from <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Fraser (Company)">Fraser</a>'s Fort Lauderdale Office, played an instrumental role in this alliance. Sharing his insights, Crawford mentioned, “During our preliminary discussions, we delved deep into the clients' unique preferences.
