In Europe, smaller jets are often preferred by CEOs for quick business trips, while in the Gulf, larger jets prioritising comfort dominate the market. She also highlighted the regulatory constraints in the Gulf that limit spontaneous jet travel. Charlie also highlighted his private office initiative designed to better serve UHNWIs.The discussion turned to how each industry maintains trust in highly competitive markets. Daniella stressed the importance of relationship-building, while Liberty highlighted the Gulf’s shifting preference from ostentatious displays of wealth to understated luxury. She suggested art collaborations as a way for the yachting industry to create synergies with other sectors. According to Fetton, improving cross-border yacht movements and addressing regulatory challenges are critical for the region’s future. Fam trips, where brokers and stakeholders experience what the Gulf has to offer, were also highlighted as essential for the region’s growth.Events like the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix have proven to be key attractions for yachts in the Gulf. Panellists called it "the most successful yachting magnet in the industry," as yachts tend to return after attending such events. However, regulatory challenges and limited cruising options currently hinder the region’s potential to fully capitalise on these opportunities.The discussion also touched on geopolitical dynamics and their impact on the region’s yachting sector. While political challenges have not significantly deterred yachting, insurance costs and logistical barriers, such as a 30 percent price increase for rounding the Cape of Good Hope, remain concerns. Hosted by Andrea Tagliaferro of Yacht Femme, three awards were presented to showcase trailblazing women shaping the future of yachting.This pioneering event not only honoured their achievements, but also served as a source of inspiration, highlighting the transformative impact of female professionals across various disciplines.The event began with nominations opening on 12 August and closing on 1 October. Article Two: Yachts under 300 tonnes are eligible for several incentives:<ul><li>A 20% discount on return transit fees for trips from the north to the Red Sea, provided the return via the Suez Canal occurs within 60 days.</li><li>A 20% discount on transit fees for yachts moored at Ismailia Yacht Marina for over 90 days, regardless of the direction of journey.</li><li>A 50% discount on mooring fees at yacht marinas in Port Said or Suez for yachts that moor to complete transit procedures without overnight stays or the use of additional services.</li></ul>Article Three delineates the specific application requirements as referenced in Article Two.
